  • It does, on the bits near rivers. Rainforests have a lot of rivers, and they often break their banks after high rain. But rainforests are mostly near the equator, where there is almost no seasons, so the rain is all the time. There are not rainy seasons and dry seasons. Therefore enough rivers have formed to take away the regular rain. But if you look at aerial photos of rainforests, there are a lot of rivers and lakes. Of course, in the mountainous bits, it runs away quickly.
