As many as your cap room will allow. The higher the player rating is, the more it will cost you to recruit them.

If you want to build a stacked team in franchise simply go to creat-a-team and create whatever kind of team you want except make sure that you change Air it Out to Fantasy. You'll see what I mean once you get there. Once you save, the computer will take you to the fantasy draft. Pick whatever players you want then save. (Ahman Green and Richard Seymore are the secret weapons) You'll have an all-star team with no salary cap except you can't play Owner Mode.
