One of the justifications GWB is using for invading Iran is avoiding World War III. If Iran was capable of doing this, wouldn't starting a war with the country spark it off?

I think his justification runs in relation to their potential ability to wage world war three, not their current ability, thus GWB thinks - get in now before they are too powerful. I may be wrong in that assessment. I think you are correct though in your questioning, as Iran does have allies who they could get help from, so invading Iran seems like a really really really stupid thing to do. Even more stupid than invading Iraq was. I also think that world war three is sort of happening right now anyway - isn't the other euphemism for it the war on terror?

Everything we've done so far has made things worse.."the decider" screwed up once and because he has no clue about having done so, is taking us down the exact same path again. A rabid, rigid,focused view and the certainly that he is "right" because God talks to him..in other times we would put someone like that in a mental hospital..now we bow down, roll over and go along! :(

I think that is one of the stupidest ideas I have heard. Remember that World war I was triggered by a sing death, and World War II by a big country invading a smaller. Invading Iran is exactly the sort of thing to light the fuse for World War III.
