Yes. Ecstasy is the small pill form. MDMA is powder form and the scientific/medical name for E. MDA in the early days was also known as X or XTC. Nasty stuff, very dangerous and sometimes lethal.

No, MDA is similar to MDMA (Ecstacy) but it's milder in its effects. MDA is a precursor and analog to MDMA, but the two shouldn't be confused.
