Not a good relationship, not a good childhood. I am by far cooler than my sperm donor, um, father (I won't call him Dad) and for that matter, so is Saddam Hussein... PS. I'm aware that Hussein is dead and, as some believe, in hell. He's still cooler.

By todays standard of cool, yes. By his, no. Am I as tough as him, not even close. My dad was an amazing man and I have tried to live up to his standards. I have done so in some ways and come far short in others.

No way. My dad was the coolest person I've ever known. He was also one of the kindest, wisest, and most generous. I would be proud to be half as amazing as he was.

My dad was pretty cool, but he had a unique fashion sense that most would consider "tacky". Regrettably I don't have any photos of him from more recently.(just a few I unearthed from some rotting archives from his service in WWII and around that time. But he was big into loud plaid polyester pants and such.) Dad's the one in the glasses in the second pic.

I think my Dad is or at least he's been pretty cool. He had his own band for a lot of my life, and plays guitar. He's also smart and funny. I have always been a bit of a dork. The first picture is my Dad holding me as a baby. The second picture is my oldest son holding one of my Dad's guitars.
