Stick to your game plan, show intensity and conviction, don't be bothered by anything that is said, present yourself professionally, speak slow and clear without sounding upset. RELAX!

I use to be a criminal trial attorney (prosecutor). They know how to get on your nerves.

They can slam you all they want, at the end of the day, if your right, your right.

You go get 'em!! Don't let anything they say about you effect you. People will watch your reaction... a calm person wins points. You will get your chance to defend yourself. Good luck and keep us posted!!

Congratulations for being clean for 10 years!! The court will see that as an accomplishment. There are plenty of people recovering from addiction. Don't let it worry you. All you have to do is tell the truth. That's all you really can do.

You should be fine, judges usually feel for the little guy, this should be especially true when going against Walmart which does not have the best reputation.

Wish I could give you some encouragement. It really depends on the area you live in "The honesty and integrity of the Judge" Wal-Mart and Meijer inc. are the two most dishonest retailers in the U.S. If you live in Mi it's next to impossible to find a Judge with Honesty or integrity. make sure you dress business like they are professional and you need to look like you know what you are talking about and that your statement is true and your not just doing it to get money. too many people turn up to these things dressed wrongly
if its domestic violence dress like a victim but if there are kids involved then dress like a victim that will be able to take care of the kids. any more help you need leave me a message.

Remember that we are always in a state of flux and change. You were an addict, past tense like the wake of a ship. You are very different now. You are of the present not the past. The past has helped mold and shape you into a stronger person. Rely on those strengths. You had the strength to make it this far.
    Kudos to you!

You'll be fine. If you have a good attorney then he/she has already figured out how to defend you on that charge. I'm surprised that your attorney has not had you take a drug test for the hearing.

Of course they would try to destroy you. It's SOP in any case. You're not alone.

But as long as you tell the truth, no one would be able to destroy you. "You can never put a good wo(man) down." Always remember that.
