In short, she was docile, 2 marriages later Henry still had no male heir, and his short lived marriage to Anne Boleyn had wreaked political and personal havoc. A fair amount of polarization amongst the nobles was certainly apparent. Friends and family had been alienated or banished from Court at Anne's whim.

(Wikipedia excerpt)Eustace Chapuys served as the Imperial ambassador to England from 1529 until 1545 and is best known for his extensive and detailed correspondence (end)

Chapuys was a regular at court, but he could be biased and he possessed a rather sharp tongue. In reference to Jane he once said (source Six Wives by historian/author David Starkey)"You may imagine whether being an Englishwoman and having been so long at Court, she would not hold it a sin to be virgo intacta.” In that same piece of correspondence, he surmised that she must have a fine enigme (in other words, she must be good in bed)(end source)

Henry wasn't getting any younger and life with Anne had rarely been peaceful on top of the constant struggle to free himself of his first wife Catherine of Aragon. He wanted a peaceful existence at home again, a male heir, and a thoroughly submissive Queen. Jane fit the bill.

As much as anything it was because he had been having an affair with her and she was pregnant. Henry needed a male heir and Jane's child became King Edward VI. She died just 12 days after giving Henry his much-wanted heir, which led to him declaring his 2 daughters from previous marriages, Mary and Elizabeth, to be illegitimate.

He wanted a male heir and she might give it to him. So he married her.
