  • Wearing nail polish helps a ton. So does keeping your nails smooth and filed.
  • When u chew nails, it collects in your stomach, and would eventually start hurting big time. Then the only option left would be to operate n hav it removed. So u gotta take a call on that.
  • Your stomach has no problem dissolving your fingernails. Or at least the normal human stomach, your results may vary. (I guess Iceman's tummy is just frozen, and all kinds of stuff probably collects there.) As to quitting "this awful habit"; there are nasty tasting products you can buy to paint on your nails, orrrr... try biting your toenails instead, they are thicker and therefor chewier and possibly tastier. You'll also get more exercise in biting thru them and just reaching them. The physical effort neeeded to get to them, the time spent removing and replacing shoes and socks, the delightful aroma, may soon break you of the habit. If it doesn't, the posturing and joint bending will have you well on your way to the higher levels of Yoga.
