When you dye your hair, does it dye your scalp, too?

I use a red dye and it doesnt colour my scalp,i make sure i shampoo and condition well and really rinse it off.

Yes. Always. It can't be helped. And the dye splatters in little spots everywhere, so that your washroom looks like it was visited by a chainsaw maniac. Ha.

I've colored my hair for years, and if you do it properly and rinse it all out completely, then, no, it doesn't.

Yeah, it does but it usually comes out in the next few washes. There is skin on the scalp and that skin, like skin on any other part of your body, sheds.

Yes, but the skin cells come off, and the dye goes with it. If you get it on your face or body, that's a bit worse because the dye will last there longer, but it eventually comes off.

No. You might get round the hairline and your ears, but you wipe that off before it dries - it will fade but you really don't want to have that!
