As somsone that has aquired a large sum of money rather quickly, my family knows, they never bug me for money. And I bought some real estate and I've always wanted to run a bar so I bought one.

I would first consult a broker or someone who is good with money. I would make a plan to invest as much of it as possible after paying for my education. I would inform my family after I have made a comprehensive plan for every single cent.

I wouldn't let my family know at first. I would move far far away to a tropical island. then maybe send them a check.Only so they will leave me alone
