What do college-age guys (late teens + twenties) think of girls with intense dyed red hair? (not orange, more dark red). Would you ever take a girl with that hair color as girlfriend potential?

I think that is a really sexy look! Especially if she has pale skin, the contrast is really attractive in my opinion.

Well, I'm not a guy, but I am one of those girls with the intense red hair, and I've gotten way more compliments from men and women, (mainly men) on my hair. This isn't a very good pic, but the only one I have of me with the hair..

It's good that you want to maintain a mature image with your look while in college -- I think that's awesome. But I also think you're overthinking things a little. I dyed my hair dark red (my sister said that I looked like Jane Grey in the last X-Men movie). I am a high school teacher, and was in my early twenties at the time, and nobody said anything to me about it being inappropriate. If your hair looks good for you, and you dress in a classy manner and carry yourself well, the color matters a lot less than you think. Go for what will make you happy.
