Yes. But it's what you have to put up with such a diverse group of people. I have learned something about myself though I AM CLOSED-MINDED ABOUT CLOSE-MINDED PEOPLE. Make sense?

I look at it like this. If it were not for all the closed minded people how would I ever truly know how open minded I am.

Sometimes. I have to laugh at the negative ratings I get sometimes for my opinions, especially when I'm not nasty about what I say, it's just that someone doesn't agree, so I must be punsihed! lol I guess it's just something we all have to deal with, though.

It exhausts me how some of the (in society's view) most open minded people are so narrow minded jst for the sense of being different, I respect everybody's opinions that are different than my own, but as human instinct I at least try to defend them, sorry for the aside, but in short, yes. very tired of it. But hey, freedom of speech at its best I always say.

Sometime maturty increases the older a person gets and maybe most of the people that make these kinds of statements are relatively young.

A little tired doesn't even cover it! And why is it that SOME, not all, of those closed-minded people always claim that it's not them being closed-minded, it's the entire world...that's already out to get them you know! (sorry...had to rant!)

What exactly do you mean by "closed minded". Is it simply that someone may disagree with your point of view on a particular social issue. and if so? why do you label that with a negative branding such as "closed minded". We are all entitled to our own point of view, and denying mine by calling me a name is rather, well,.... closed minded.. dont you think?

The thing I'm sick of is people who call others closed-minded, even though they're the ones who are closed-minded. Anyway, I'm not saying you are closed-minded. I do know what you mean and I know you're not, otherwise I wouldn't tell you what I really believe, even when I know you will disagree with me.

No, I don't find many people like that here and I don't get tired of the variety of folks on AB. I celebrate the differences as I do the people who I have much in common. It makes life interesting, not boring:-)

I enjoy close-mindedness and I also enjoy being close-minded. It is fun and it makes me feel better about things. You should try it. You wouldn't get even a little tired of it.
