In the mouth of madness -clive barker
In the mouth of madness ,,-clive barker
Psycho
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (newwer version)
I agree with the original Exorcist and Ju-on (The original Asian version of The Grudge) and Kairo (original Asian version of Pulse). Some of the best horror films I've seen in years are Asian.
For me the Exorcist was REALY scary and gross, I will NEVER watch it again - it freaked me out!
for it is Candyman, it pure freaks me out. normally I just laugh throughout horror films.
The new rob zombie HALLOWEEN it is Scary as hell I cried and spit blood threw up 7 times and had nightmares for 5 weeks about me beeing The boy Micheal Killed in the beggining of the movie that movie is so scary
snow white. i still get the heebie jeebies.
It's either Wolf Creek or High Tension. They are not so much horror movies as they are slasher films but I was scared to go outside after that.
The RING.
Man, that's a tuff one. "The Grudge" made me jump a time or 2 and the Japanese movie "The EYE" did also.
Jesus Camp
I'm for either the original Exorcist or the first Alien.
The Ring
It has redefined horror.
I'm not sure it's horror exactly, but I think "Mulholland Drive" is up there on my creepy movie list.
Cry Wolf
Halloween (the original)
The Exorcist.
THE MOVIE " REPULSION" ... it made my skin crawl
Hellraiser
Halloween (Original)
If you go by popular preference and technical statistics, most people will use The Exorcist's controversy, shock value and fear factor pertaining to its time period and the echoes it made back then as the elements which construct a good horror movie, in this case the best...or at least, the most famous one.
This followed by countless slasher series, Friday the 13th, Hellraiser or Nightmare on Elm Street.
I prefer Halloween and various zombie films as my favourites, plus a few Stephen King novel adaptations and some b movies, but that's up to each individual, because as trite as the horror genre may be, people seem to find many different reasons to appreciate them for, other than being scared.
Bride of Frankenstein. Great writing, acting, cinematography, score, wicked directing.

agree, there is no greater horror that to watch how you own ppl , make horrible things just for money , if you think of this in horror movies monsters at least are not corrupted and kill for food ( mostly)
