  • If the woman is willing to marry him, then yes, they can marry in an LDS church.
  • If she wants to marry him then sure. They can be married anywhere, by anyone having legal authority to marry them...The Bishop of her congregation may marry them, or the justice of the peace, or whoever had legal authority. There is no RULE saying people who are not members cannot marry members or visa versa...It is strongly counseled that members marry members, so that they have their religion in common, as membership in the church brings with it many responsibilities takn upon oneself through covenant. .The LDS faith also believes in sealing a couple for eternity in their temples when both parties are worthy members of the church. Thereby, having any children born to them, or adopted by them also sealed to them, creating an eternal family. The choice to marry outside the faith is for time only(til death do them part, if you will) But it is a their choice. The church leaders may counsel otherwise, but the ultimate choice is the couple's. But there is no eternal promise without the sealing ordinance
  • yeah, they just can't be married in the Temple.

As their story came out, the congregation offered to put on a church wedding for them if they wanted. They eagerly accepted
