My female cat just had kittens 2 days ago. One day when I came home from work I found that one of the kittens had been eaten. What are the chances that the mother will kill the rest?

When a kitten is born disabled in any way the mother will eat it. it is nothing to worry about. kittys dont go sychopath on healthy kittens. just darwin at work.

Animals of any species can reject their babies and there are not clever enough to know if disabled as mentioned previously. Its kinda like post-natal depression or first time mum. You should keep a very close eye on your cat and give her as much support as possible without intruding. If she shows any more aggressive behaviour or rejection of kittens think about hand rearing -but this should be a last resort. Good luck.
