My actions speak of what I am. I am very very cautious
about my actions.
I AM accountable. I don't do carrying guilt around very well. I most of the time confess openly because I just can't stand it. lol! I ahve to admit to, not whining, but bit of a pout when I've been caught, though, but it looks so cute on me that I'm forgiven:-)
On another subject...isn't today your big day? Are you moving in or just cleaning or????? What an exciting time for you. I hope it all goes well. Wish I was there. I LOVE helping people move!!! Isn't that weird? I'm always the first person people call up and ask for help because (Here comes that organized mind again) I'm good at wrapping and labeling and packing things up, know what to do first if you don't:-)
I've always preferred to admit responsibility for my mistakes. It would be hypocritical to expect recognition for my achievements otherwise.
Oh I'm accountable. That's why I try not to screw up too badly...I hate being made a spectacle of.
I am still learning accountability especially within a group setting. I have come to a point that I must be accountable for my own actions. In the final analysis, I know I have to give an account of my life to God before His judgement throne.

It's much easier to be agreeable and get along with folks than not. But maybe easy isn't everyone's cuppa tea. Could be?

You're reading Are you accountable for your actions and willing to take the consequences or do you try to whine your way out of taking the heat?

As a woodworker would say, "measure twice, cut once". I think it is good to be cautious and think things through as much as possible before you act. But once you do, if things do not turn out as you'd hoped, it is always best (in my opinion, of course) to take responsibility. It seems simple enough..but there are those who are never accountable for anything (but they are always willing to take the credit for everything)..they are the ones who always blame others for their circumstances, and never will "own up" to that for which they are responsible. We see it all the time among politicians or business people...they "stonewall" and "lie" and "deflect" and "spin"..anything to keep from telling the truth. Thank you for your answer,VSP. :)
