Question

Help answer this question below.

Wife seized up the motor in her '97 Saturn SC2 with 193k. We already got her a new car, so we want to get rid of the Saturn. Should I Ebay the parts off the car, or rebuild the motor and sell? (Car's in great shape)

My first response is to replace the engine with a rebuilt one. If you trust a local shop, go with theirs, or factory-rebuilt if not. This keeps you from having a pile of junk cluttering up your garage or back yard (front yard in Tennessee/Mississippi/Louisiana/Texas) because it's easier to unload a complete running vehicle than parts from a rapidly deteriorating wreck. If the chassis and most of the running gear are in good shape, it will be out of your hands in no time and you'll benefit from the sale all at once rather than over a period of months/years with unsold parts left over.
