Binary fission is a type of asexual reproduction which produces 2 genetically identical cells to their parent cell (unless mutations occur)Ex:amoeba and most common in prokaryotes (bacteria)

Budding is another type of asexual reproduction which occurs in yeast and sometimes in som animals such as the hydra.

Fragmentation is the breaking of an organism into two or more parts, each of which grows to form a new individual ex:ribbon worms, star fish, spyrogyra.
