Help answer this question below.
The owner's manual does not include instructions because you would be an idiot to attempt it. Get it done professionally, preferably at the dealership. If you make one little (and I mean little) mistake it can kill you. Before you can say 'Oh Sh*t' it will be lights out. I have no idea who sold you an airbag but last I heard it's illegal.
Take it to the dealer, give them the new one, and pay whatever the fee is. If you're too cheap to do that then I guess your head isn't worth the money...that's the statement you will be making.
So, in case there's any kind of confusion, I'm saying DON'T DO IT. Take it to the dealer, tell them what you want done, pick it up when they call you.
If you are trying to repair or replace a monte carlo airbag then first you'll need to find a set of used air bags if you want to save some cash. I recommend http://www.safetyairbags.com/monte-carlo-airbags.html because I had to buy an airbag for my dash and I paid a lot less than expected.

You're reading How do I replace the airbags on 2003 Monte Carlo? Deployed in low impact collision; don't know how to disconnect the old and install the new. Manual does not include instructions. Detailed answer would be greatly appreciated or free web instructions.

ok number one it aint illegal, and thier not an idiot to attempt it, people do it all the time! IT SAVES MONEY, not all of us have $100/hr to pay a shop to install one. Also a working airbag is not required for saftey so you can glue it down and its fine. As long as you have the right tools, its not that hard. My dad has installed them many times.
