Simple answer is yes. However, all the nifty little extras that you get with your specific T-mobile preconfigured phone may not work with your new phone without some tinkering (such as t-zones). Other offerings, such as the 'myfaves' favorite 5 service will only work on phones preconfigured with software that supports that service, i.e. t-mobile configured phones. As far as I know, there is no workaround to the 'myfaves', since it is a specific software application exclusive to t-mobile phones. This means your fave 5 calls will not be free. Depending upon your service contract this may or may not be important to you. It is a possible downside and trade-off.
