  • Do you mean dining alone in a restaurant or dining at home, alone? it could go either way. dining alone in a restaurant, carries the same etiquette, as though you had a partner for dinner. why? if you are single, mr. or miss right may be watching you. remember the saying, never get a second chance to make a first impression? it really applies here. you never know who is watching. having the right etiquette never goes out of style. if your are a classy person, then proper etiquette should be a 24-7 part of your character. hope this helps...............
  • Generally, you follow the same etiquette as you would if you were dining with others. However, it is certainly more polite to take a small table rather than to take up a larger one that might be needed by a group. Also, if you talk on your cell phone, remember to keep the volume down. Of course, using a cell phone - even when dining alone - is considered by many to be taboo. Personally, so long as you aren't disturbing others (including the person you're talking to), I see no problem. If you are feeling uncomfortable about dining alone, I suggest that you try sitting next to a window and bringing a small, easily manageable book. And make sure to order coffee and/or dessert and savor it while staring outside or reading your book. It makes you seem more mysterious ;)
  • If you're dining out, then yes. Follow the same dining etiquette rules. If it's you alone at home, do whatever you want.
  • I'd say as long as you don't start up a conversation with yourself, or do anything grosse or disgusting then you should be okay!
  • Yeah, just be yourself. Why even bother to care the eyes around you while dining, not unless you are use to having bad dining habit, then you can't avoid from being notice and stare at.
  • Don't talk to yourself with food in your mouth.
  • If your dining alone does it matter? No-one will know!
