I have lost a Microsoft word 2007 document. it was a email attachment that i carried on editing then saved now its gone. Any help?

    It's probably sitting in a temporary folder...

    open the email attachment again -- probably it will be the original -- however, if you do a "File->properties" or "File->Save As" -- it should show what temporary folder is used. Then you can check that folder, view the files in most recently changed order, and your document should be there.
