Well, two years after it happened, the prosecution's case has pretty much fallen apart. As of this date (9 July 2008) seven of the eight accused Marines have been cleared of charges and the last defendant will probably be clear soon as well. Most of the Marines have been cleared of all charges. The Marines are now suing Rep. Murtha for libel and ruining their careers. These guys have been ruined and they acted within the rules of war. I know a guy in that company of Marines. The chain of command knew EXACTLY what was happening when it was happening.
