Disagree! Thats pigeons!
I don't know that I would consider them rats with wings, but they can be very annoying. Once I was sitting on the beach eating a hot dog and a crazy dive-bombing seagull flew off with my wiener and I was left holding a bun!
They have been called that for they help the environment by cleaning up the junk we leave behind. We should be thankful we have them or the world would be much filthier.
They will eat garbage and like to live in squalor.
Hmm, I see no differences in this regard.
I like them! But I like rats too, so it's not an offensive title.
Ummmm.... sure. I agree. :D
I agree, I loathe seagulls.
Well I like them because I only go to the beach once or so a year, so it kinda completes the beach theme for me. But I can see how they would get annoying to people who are on the beach all the time, eating your food and stuff. But I would say I disagree.
Disagree. I love seagulls.
i dont think of them no diffrent then the birds i see in the air
Agree. Those things are annoying.
I agree. But only because humans have trained them to be so.
The opening to the Greatest Video Game of All Time, Chrono Trigger, started with a coastline with seagulls. I lose my mind and heart every time I visit a gull-friendly beach at morning. I love them. I just make sure they have no reason to attack me.
They fulfill much the same functions of rats in society. That's a good nickname for them.
Yes, they are filthy.
Agree, wish there was legal hunting of the bastards.
Yeah Id agree with that, those things will eat anything.
i think all animals have changed because of humans so to say that of any bird is not right i in my opinion its there way of survival thankyou
I always thought pigeons were the rats, so to speak.
i disagree. i love them espeshly the babys there sooo cut:)
i disagree
Seagulls are scavangers, although they have been known to attack humans.
Most notably the USS Indiana incident where the ship that took to A-bombs to be droped on Japan was sank on the the way back and the crew almost entirely lost at sea.)
They're high-end preditors/opportunists and will do what that have to do to stay alive. The beaches and the oceans would be much more of a mess without them.

The people at my university are such animal-rights bleeding hearts they forget about human concerns. You can't even buy a hot dog from a stall anymore, because they're all surrounded by pigeons who the animal-rights people keep feeding.
