  • Saturns can do pretty good, my wife's just died at 193k. It's been burning oil for years now, and I finally forgot to put oil in last weekend. It siezed up just last night (we went and bought a new car today... that's a whole nother discussion). Anyway, wife was driving a '97 SC2 5-spd. I would recommend absolutely regular oil changes to make sure you get your $4400 out of it. That car should last you to about 250k if all goes well.
  • well, that reall depends on how it look and how well it runs. I have a 94 saturn that I paid 300 for and it has about 350,000+ miles on it and I think that was a steal. It runs and look great. older saturns are known to run great and for a long time and mine is a perfect example. You may have paid a little to much for it but you will get your moneys worth as long as you take care of it. It will defenitly take care of you.
  • well i have a 97 saturn sl2 and it runs good but now the muffler is really loud and no clue why well find out in the future but... anyway mine had 143,000 miles on it when i bought it for 150 dollars cheap but it had no hood bumper and fender smashed along with the horn... was in a head on collision with a SUV but i banged the crap out of the frame to make the new bumper-fender and hood that i purchased for a case of beer line up. all the same color also got a radio and horn off the car he said take anything off the car also took a spare tire and some extra parts.. ahh im rambling on again sorry but yea its a good deal just mine was better but my tires got stolen off of it at my school they were 125 dollars a piece if that makes u feel better wow that was long sorry again
