  • Is it out of pain? Because your out of breath? When was the last time you exercised? You can be really out of shape or have a respiratory problem. So just powerwalk
  • You either need to build up your physical stamina or it's all in your head. Force yourself to keep going sometime.
  • You don't have the endurance/stamina to run for extended periods of time. I suggest going to a gym and walking at a 7/8 incline at a speed of 3.2 on any treadmill. Through time, this will allow you to go faster and faster for extended periods of time and soon enough you can start running at lengths of time and speeds you never thought possible :D
  • You don't have alot of endurance. But your problems can be fixed if you start running every day. I'll bet that if you run every day for the next 100 days running a little bit farther each day than you did the day before i can almost guarantee that you will be able to run atleast 5 miles without stopping by the end.
  • maybe because you dont breathe properly for running. or you havnt built up your stamina, or your starting to fast or not warming up first
  • president bush can do a 3 mile run in about 20 minutes. he's, what, 60? enjoy the rest. the time needed between those rests will slowly increase, as long as you're not eating too much, eating high cholesterol foods, smoking anything, or drinking alcohol. good luck!!! running is a great way to get in shape...
  • You are probably just out of shape and need to work up to it. Keep it up and you will be there in no time.
  • If you have to rest to catch your breath then I would say you arent breathing properly..if you stop because you are just wore out..you have to work on increasing your stamina :)
  • You're probably just out of condition. Keep on trying and you'll last longer.
  • You didn't say if you have just started running..if you have then you are out of shape, if not, then you should go to see what might be the problem. Maybe, you're running to fast for a beginner. Really, you should see a dr.. One might be able to answer you.
  • cuz you dont' have cardiovascular endurance. when you don't exercise for a long time and all of a sudden work yourslef, your heart can't take it. you have to fun more often and do exercises like swimming and other things that will all add up.
  • Because you lack stamina. If you keep trying to run for just a little bit longer (15 seconds than 25 seconds, etc.) You will get better at it.
