  • No. The cheaper the better for me.
  • I suppose that for $5+ you get more than just a cup of coffee, for instance the possibility to drink it in an interesting place with interesting people.
  • Never. I'm not a trend following sheep. I buy, grind and brew my own beans. I won't typically buy the chain shop brands either, although I have a soft spot for Gloria Jeans. DD always seems to taste burnt, Starbucks tastes like alcohol. People who pay that much for a cup of coffee are just throwing their money away. If you pay that much for a cup of coffee on a regular basis, you really have no right to complain about the cost of anything.
  • NO. I like good coffee and *$ usually doesn't sell any. If I have to buy coffee out I'm usually on the road and it's hard to find coffee for 75c - more like $1.50. but I prefer my coffee at home.
  • I make coffee. Roughly 15 cents a cup.
  • No, I never drink anything with caffeine.
  • Yes. Consider how many coffee beans are used to make a double espresso (12 to 18 grams) which are ground to order then made into espresso, then the 12oz or so of milk steamed to perfection, none of which can be done at home unless you have a professional espresso machine. Coffee made by a professionally trained barista just doesnt compare with a cheap home espresso machine or a drip pot....Of course if my palate couldnt taste the difference between a cheap home machine and an espresso machine then I wouldnt pay the difference!
