I was able to stay up, but I don't think it is good. I think it messed up my metabolism and other things. I feel much better on a normal schedule.

I worked nights for 23 years. It felt natural for me to be up at night. I was always busy, so I never got tired. I also couldn't drink coffee after midnight, it would keep me up in the morning. Otherwise, I had no problem sleeping during the day.
