I don't know that there ever has been a posthumous Nobel Prize awarded..

Actually Gore hasn't won the prize. It was on FOX last night, although it initially appeared that Gore had won the prize following a recount and ruling from the supreme court it turns out George Bush actually won it. And no not posthumously.

Unfortunately, due to the rules in place for the Nobel Prizes, they cannot be awarded posthumously. The only exception is if the prize was awarded, but the recipient dies before he/she can accept it. As this was not the case, there's no way that Mr. Irwin could receive the honor.
