Unfortunately, it's likely worth more to you than the small amount of money that you would get from selling it. There was such a flooding of the market in terms of sports memorabilia cards and autographed cards that it actually drove the price down. Without knowing what exact card that you have, I would guess that it is in the $10 range. I have a lot of cards that are worth more to me personally than the actual monetary value.
Agree with Gamer88. If you want any chance that it will go up in value, your only hope is to keep it in absolutely mint condition. While there are a lot of autographed cards out there, the amount of them in pristine condition is always going down. Mint or better is your only hope I fear.
