  • If you are capable of working, why are you on workmans comp?
  • No one is responsible for paying you for time you have not worked. You are not entitled to pay if you haven't worked for it, sorry.
  • I am in a similar situation. I understand what you are asking there. If you have been injured and have had your job duties change i.e. light duty, and they don't have any work for you, workers comp is responsible to pick that up since the injury forced the time off, if however, your company said they were overstaffed and you wouldn't have been able to work that night regardless of workers comp, then no one is responsible and it just falls under the "sucks to be you" category of corporate code.
  • On workman's comp in my state you have to miss work 3 consecutive days before you get paid and it's only for 1 day, then it increases with more time off so when you reach 7 days off you get paid 7 days. And if someone is injured at work how is it greedy to expect to get paid? Doesn't everybody have bills and expenses. Most people on workman's comp do get the short end of the stick. Not everybody is out for a free ride either. Greed has nothing to do with with wanting to feed your kids. You only get 66% of your income and lose several days of pay.
