Are Sikh women discriminated against?

I'm not familiar with any particular injustices perpetrated against them, but that is due to ignorance, not that I know anything about it..my thinking is this..we are all discriminated against in one way or the other, with the possible exception of WASPS (white anglo-saxon protestants) and I suppose there are those who aren't that fond of them either! If you're a woman/old/ethnic/poor/uneducated/lead a "different" lifestyle/too religious/not religious/wrong political party/speak out/remain silent..whatever..so I think we're all in the same boat..it's just that some are discriminated against more often and relentlessly.. :(

No not at all the Sikh religion teaches that men and women are equal and are both allowed to be religious leaders as well as anything else. They both undergo the five Ks at puberty.
