Who knows, but we would probably have more drunkeness in the streets, and the word "wench" would work it's way back into our language again.

I see your logic, but returning to an earlier age is not the same as turning back time. However being on a large seaworthy vessel is an excellent idea in light of the fact that 70% of the worlds population lives a few miles from the coast and global warming is supposed to destroy a lot of portside cities.

It could, but it is all up to His Noodliness. I think the behavior of the pirates is important. We would have to once again hand out candy to children and spread good will. If the new pirates conform to the pirate image propaganda spread in the Middle Ages by Christian theologians and Hare Krishnas, it won't help.
