A whole lot of questions jumbled together there!

    Gay Male.

AGAINST death penalty. It's just revenge.

PRO-Choice. That is not the same thing as being for abortion, it means I believe it's not the government's business.

FOR Same sex marriage- Duh. I'm even for polyamorus marriages.

As far as sex before marriage is concerned, everyone should have the right to live their lives as they see fit. Consenting adults should do whatever they want.

FOR Smoking bans. People have the right to poison themselves whenever they want, they don't have the right to make other people breathe it too.

One thing that unites all of those answers is that I'm for human rights.

    Wow, that's quite a list.

    I'm gay.

Death penalty: against it. It's an emotional response to tragedy, and I don't believe emotion has a place in the justice system.

Abortion: pro-choice. It should be between a woman and her doctor.

Same sex marriage: All for it!!

Sex before marriage: Since I'm not allowed to get married, I'm for it.

Smoking bans: Personally, I'm for it.

I am biseuxal. Here are my answers:

    1) I am firmly PRO the death penalty. I do not believe that criminals should be encouraged to commit crimes via lax justice. Also, I do not want to pay for a criminal for the rest of his/her life.

I believe that there is a problem with that in that some murderers are found to not be murderers.

    2) I am firmly pro same sex marriages.

    3) I do not have a problem with sex before marriage and, in fact, think that there is a double standard in that women who engage in it can be called "sluts" but men who do are "playas"

    4) I concur with the smoking ban in public places.

    5) I am pro choice.

I don't like the death penalty because innocent people may die because of it, it is not administered equally throughout the general population (more poor people of color are executed than white people), it does not act as a deterrent for crime and is expensive, and once a person is dead there is no chance for there redemption.

I am not for abortion. It's an irreversible decision. I believe that all life should be protected, even un-born lives. That being said, I believe that the decision to have a child or not is between the woman and God. I'm not about to judge other people because I don't know how I would act if I were in their shoes.

I believe same-sex marriage should be recognized by the state because the only objection the state could have is a religious one, and that goes against the constitution.

Same-sex marriage should be legal, but it should also be left up to the individual churches as to whether or not they want to perform same-sex marriages. The state has no business in religion just like religion has no business in the state.

I hate smoking and I'm glad it's getting banned in public places.

    Bruja.

    Im BI.

*Im for the death penalty for murderers, pedophiles etc.

*Im Pro-choice, a woman knows what's best for her, and the governement has no right in telling her what to do with her body.

*I support same-sex marriage, as the govt has no right to decide who you can and cannot marry.

*Sex before marriage all the way, unless I am guaranteed my husband will be a virgin also, otherwise I dont hink its fair.

*For smoking bans in public places.

I think you will find most of the LGBT opinions very liberal, and that is because liberals are more concerned about human rights.

I don't see what a persons sexual preference has got to do with thier opinion on any of these questions, except maybe same sex marriage. Everyone is equal and has different opinions, whats being gay got to do with it ?

    I am bi
I am against the death penalty, not because I feel sorry for the guilty, but because I feel sorry for the innocent. Too many wrongful convictions to justify it.
I believe in education and contraception-not abortion. but I don't think abortion is murder-but people shouldn't use it as a form of contraception.
Same sex marriage? I don't see the point in any marriage.
    I smoke-I hate smoking bans.

Why do I suspect this is Ann C? I am not LGBT but I will answer I support the death penalty for murder, I am opposed to abortion but I believe in the right to choose, same sex marriage is a civil right, and smoking bans in public places should be kept for people like me who are allergic.

    Proud bisexual female right here!

Death Penalty: I think it's not nearly as evaluated as it should be, but I'd much rather have sadistic killers put to death than have my taxes pay to keep him alive.

I believe that the whole penitentiary system should be re-evaluated, particularly when it comes to the mentally unstable. Some people view prison as a sort of rehab for criminals, but the system doesn't do anything to change people for the better. It's literally a place to keep scum (although I recognize there are unfortunate people who are just at the wrong place at the wrong time) on welfare, combined with paying for sadistic guards to whip out any punishment they deem necessary. It's... just very scary, some of the reports and documentaries I've seen and read. I hope I never end up in jail.

Abortion: I believe it's an individual choice. No one has the right to deny a person's decision to do that.

Same-Sex Marriage: I think it should be obvious, but should my soul mate be the same gender as I, I would marry her, and no government, much less any person, will ever stop me from doing so.

Sex Before Marriage: That's a personal decision, and I don't ever see that becoming an issue what with the statistics out there. (I had to do a paper on this, so I'm quite familiar with it. Check out Mathematica Research on Abstinence Education Programs, it's a trip.)

Smoking Bans: Growing up around smokers, my view is perhaps skewed. In any case, I don't think it's that big of a deal, so long as it's outside and not inside public places. Smoke doesn't bug me (I don't smoke, by the way), so I don't care... It may not be a necessarily healthy point-of-view, but I don't plan to live forever, anyways.

I like this question (admittedly, it could use a comma or period, but that's not the issue). There's nothing wrong with trying to poll a group of people. You often find there is more diversity within a group that outside of it. If I ever decide to become a sociologist, I'd probably be most interested in studying the LGBT community. Simply because they're so stereotyped, that hardly anyone tries to study what they're really like. There are more studies now than twenty years ago, but not nearly enough.

But that's just my bizarre interest. In any case... I hope for more intriguing questions like this.

    Zandalee.Lonely.Lunatic.3yrs-here

    I am bisexual.

    1) My opinion is out on the death Penalty. I really think death is far too easy for such people. Yet I do not wish to pay for their keep. Death is such an easy out though.... I wish they could be tortured every day until they die.... for free....

I believe that there is a problem with that in the fact that some convicts are innocent people, wrongly convicted.

    2) I am pro choice.

    3) I am firmly pro same sex marriages. (on a side note I hate the confinement of marriage to between two people only as well)

    4) I do not have a problem with sex before marriage... especially as some couples(and relationships bigger than just 2) are currently not allowed to wed....

I agree with Arisztid on the double standards bieng set and sexist. Society fosters promiscuity from men, and criticizes and cuts down women for the same.

    5) I disagree wholeheartedly with the smoking ban in public places. I agree with the sectioned areas for smoking and non.

    redcatt63 is around here somewhere......

As liberal as I tend to be, I am in favor of the death penalty when it comes to murderers.
I am pro-choice! Neither the government nor any church has any business telling anyone what they can do with their own bodies!
I am completely FOR same-sex marriage, and will be one of the 1st in line to get married when the bigoted laws are over-turned.
Sex before marriage? As I currently not able to legally marry, I'd have to say I'm for it. But I'd be for it anyway if I were straight.
I'm totally for smoking bans in public places. Pollute the air in your own home and car, but I'm not going to get lung cancer along with you (I used to smoke! thankfully, I wised up!)

    Lesbian here......
DEATH PENALTY: I think that clearly there have been some people tried and found guilty, who later they have learned/decided were NOT guilty at all...so that needs to be addressed.

Not withstanding, I think that if you ARE found guilty of murder, or I'll add sexual assult/rape or child molestation then you get 3 tries to BRING NEW evidence for consideration. After that, if you can not be proved innocent...and you have been given the Death Sentence...it's bye, bye. I have no insurance, not medical, not dental...I work for a living, I pay my bills and taxes and volunteer and donate as often as I can..time and blood both.. I don't especially WANT to pay for a murder, rapist, or other vile individual to live a useless life behind bars for 20, 30, 50 years...This is probably NOT a very Christian way to think and I'll have to face God with this thought when we meet up in the future.

ABORTION: I'm not for Abortion...I am, however, PRO-CHOICE! I think it's important for a woman to be aware of all the options available to her in such a circumstance. But, ultimately IT IS HER BODY AND HER CHOICE. I'm not suppose to judge her, I'm suppose to support her..that's it. There is no way anyone can fully know of another person's situation in life...

I dislike seeing multiple, repetitive abortions because the woman and/or man is too lazy, too self-centered to pro-actively use birth control. Of course if she/he is into drugs or drinking...well, that's not the best mentality to PRODUCE a child anyway...is it?

I betcha if Men could become pregnant, THIS would not be an issue at all....

SAME SEX MARRIAGE: Pro, Pro, Pro! I like the idea of publicly proclaiming my love and intention to be faithful to my partner. Plus...I'd appreciate being allowed the SAME CIVIL RIGHTS that I enjoyed as a Straight woman...I got lots of benefits of the heart from helping to raise a child...but I sure as hell didn't get a single tax benefit...EQUAL RIGHTS would be nice.

SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE: Ideally no, I believe it should be an act taken with more commitment...as in marriage. I think people are way to loose across the board with sex. We have 9 year olds, for heavens sake, who believe they should be having sex!!! A 9 to 16 year old CHILD is too young to fully appreciate the emotional baggage that comes with a sexual relationship...heck, some 30 year olds don't "get it."

Of course, since I am not LEGALLY ALLOWED TO MARRY..it is somewhat negated to say the least!

SMOKING IN PUBLIC PLACES: I smoke. I do not smoke inside any place (except my own home or friends who also smoke) where my smoke will bother some one else, or a child. I prefer to smoke outside and often do at home because we have animals..or at the least ventilate properly to get the stench and toxins OUT as much as possible. (I'd love to awaken and have NO urge to smoke at all, but it's doubtful that will happen eh?)

I support no smoking in public places...but recently learned that you'll get a ticket in Balboa Park (San Diego CA) if you smoke there...OUTSIDE...That's too much in my opinion...outside is no man's land.

    Gay female here....

Death penalty for all crimes was abolished in Ireland in 1990 which i believe was a bit too late, i dont believe in killing someone who may have committed crimes... it is far more totrurous to have to live with one's actions.

I am pro-choice i believe it must be an exremely harrowing action to take and i would not suggest that it be undertaken lightly. I adore children and will one day hopefully have a wee family myself.

Samesex marriage of course im all for an equal society!

Smoking bans i applauded and i'm a smoker, its given me more impetus to give up, i have read plenty of research on effects of secondhand smoke and it made i much easier for me to choose to smoke outdoors.

Oh and sex before marriage as long as its consensual and preferably safe sex...

    Gay female.

AGAINST death penalty - there have been cases where innocent people have been put in jail. The same thing can occur with death penalty.

    PRO choice

    PRO same-sex marriage

As for sex before marriage, I hope it's of legal age and consentual

AGAINST smoking bans - I think one shouldn't smoke near children or babies, one should consider others when smoking in public places. Non smokers can have ALL the indoor space in bars and pubs just please don't ban smoking in outdoor areas.

Death Penalty - Against. There are documented cases of innocent people being sentenced to death.

Abortion - I am against abortion, but pro choice. If you do not like abortion, do not have one... but do not tell others what to do.

Same sex marriage - For. If you don't like same sex marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex and don't tell others who they should be allowed to marry.

Sex before marriage - Personal choice; I don't care what others do in their bedrooms and they should not care what I do in mine.

Smoking Bans - If a place is open to the public, it should be majority smoke free. If it is a business that has a separate area with a separate ventilation system for smokers, that is fine because the person who doesn't want to be exposed to smoke doesn't have to be.
