I am a licenesed cosmetologist and, no there is no household chemical that will make your hair a pretty blonde none of them have the ability to lift the dark color out of your hair. The only solution is to go to a beaty supply and ask for a good bleach kit and and a bottle of 30 vol developer and mix the bleach and the developer and apply to your hair leave under a heated dryer with a shower cap on for no more than 15 min then just before rinsing let it cool down. If you don't feel comforatable with this process it is always the safest to go to a professional salon.
Do what you did before. Condition it very, very well afterward (as that mixture would dry it out), and then when it's light enough for you, use a fine-toothed comb to apply a homemade 'toner': I use diluted black calligraphy ink.
Do this carefully and make sure to evenly distribute the ink. When all your hair has been combed through with the dilute ink, rinse it out after about 10 minutes. This worked for me to tone out the orange. Weird, eh! (just don't put the ink on too dark or your hair will be darker).

You're reading I used a mix of lemon juice and hydrogen peroxide and it turned my dark brown hair an golden orange color. Is there a home remedy I can use to get a blond color?

I heard other actual home-remedy bleaches work, and I either want light brown OR blonde, not just blonde
