96 pontiac grand am 3.1 liter v6 transmission won't shift into low gear from stop. it also shifts hard from 1st to 2nd.

My 96 grand am did somewhat the same thing. Kinda like it wasn't going through all the gears. Had it hooked to a computer. Turned out to be the shift solenoid switches in the transmission. Could be ur problem too. I would have it hooked to a computer and see if u get any trouble codes. Hope this helps.

did you check the transmission fluid or drain it and change the filter and put new stuff in
