  • Not finding much encouraging. All I've seen (with a quick search anyways) is that they're not error coins but magician's trick coins and not really in demand by collector's. I have one myself actually, but it has dates so you never know, but I couldn't find anything about a rare error in the mint
  • I found a simlar coin. It is a .50 piece though. It is a trick coin. I also found a penny with a dime inbedded in the back. this is a magicians coin. The coin your mother has is probably worth about $5.00. However if it is a real coin double stamped heads on both sides. It is worth a bunch. The best way to tell is to take it to a coin dealer and have them look at it. If they try to buy it from you beware, it just may be real. Hope this is helpful
  • About $6.95 at a jokemagic shop.
  • I have a 1942 silver US quarter and there is the number 9 stamped in front of the nose on the face. there is also a smaller 4 horizonal across the head above the ear. Anyone knows what this is? Thanks!
  • Take it to a coin grader or coin dealer and let them look at it. If the coin is real, it will be worth something.
