  • I would rather watch one at home. I can go outside for a smoke without missing anything( gotta love "pause"), I can eat what I want without paying 4 times its worth, and I can make as much fuss as I want and not bother anyone.
  • At home, i can stop when i want, and i can review it as many times as i want.
  • Economically wise at home because I can treat myself in my price range. But VISUAL and SOUND wise. I love the theater and the whole environment of it. I'll just sneak junk food in my purse :p
  • At home. At least if I'm at home, I know who has been farting on the couch and that nobody is wiping boogers on the arm rests. Plus, the seats at the movie theaters make my butt hurt.
  • Theater for most movies, especially action. However I like to watch horror at home alone in the dark. Crowds of people are too noisy and goofy at horror movies
  • At home. It's a lot more comfortable but you don't get the big screen and surround sound.
  • At home because it is more comfy and you can relax and pause it if you need to
  • At home you don't have other people making a fuss you can snack on what you want you know who has been there and that they are safe!!
  • My husband spent thousands on our home theater so we will never have to set foot in another overpriced, stinky, hoodlum filled Harkins again.
  • At home. -We can eat what we want, when we want. -We can stop the thing and go pee whenever we want, without missing anything. -We've wasted much less money if it sucks. -Nobody's kicking the back of our seats. -Our feet don't stick to the floor. -There's no one behind us hacking and sneezing or otherwise spreading infection. -No annoying babies -No annoying people talking and other people shhhhhh-ing -We can skip the previews.
  • it really depends on the movie... if it is something that needs the surround sound and large screen to really give it justice, then you need the theater (like the movie 300, i cant watch that at home) but then there are chick flicks, those you have to watch at home.
  • I like movies at home. Theaters just seem dirty to me.
  • theatre since i like to go out
  • always at home...
  • Theater. I can sneak food and drink into the theater in my purse. However, the ococcasional junior popcorn is not going to break the bank. Id rather see movies on the big screen and I go to the first showing in the morning on the weekend and there are always good seats. I spend enough time at home I dont like movies at home.
  • At home. I can pause and rewind. Also I can do other stuff at home you can't do in a theater
    • we are dough 68
      You're so naughty.

You are! I meant things like fold laundry and when I had my own home I could watch the tv while washing dishes or cooking. Can't do that in my apartment.
  • At home. I can turn the words on (can't hear so good) and hit pause when I gotta take a leak.
  • 5/22/2023, at home in the family cinema. We have a Sony 85" inch TV, a 2 in 1 DVD/Blu-ray player, a surround sound system, a ceiling projector with home theater recliner chairs. Before entering the family cinema in the hallway, we also have a Paramount popcorn machine, a snack stand, a table, framed movie posters, a neon sign and etc. We probably have over 700 DVD's and Blu-ray's combined. They're all in 60 Qt stackable plastic containers and stored on the back of the family cinema storage area. It was my s/o's idea to create a family cinema in the very spacious attic after me and my family were turned away at the local movie theater in 2021 for neither of us being vaccinated to show proof of vaccination. I know Co__d is irrelevant in this subject, although as infectious as the virus is, I am able to provide this answer by experience of staying home safe and at our convenience to watch movies.

A side note: we usually buy our movies from eBay whether they are classic or modern, and at swap meets. We find great deals at swap meets such as 3 DVD's or Blu-ray's for $6.00 dollars. Sometimes the cases are old, but as long as the discs do not have scratches and the slipcovers are not torn, we'll take a handful of them, since we buy empty DVD/Blu-ray cases brand new sold in lots. I've told my s/o to stream movies and save the space. He's like, Nah, due to the rumors of an extreme solar storm wiping out the internet.
  • At home. I can relax and wear my most casual clothes.
