First book is Dean R. Koontz, I read it probably late 80's early 90's, about someone who could teleport and would be in a dark place while teleporting, and I think there were some people lost in the dark place. Second book, I read as a paperback around 85/86. It was probably a murder mystery type book, but there was a short story at the beginning. The short story was about a guy the morning after a party, I believe. He ate the brownies and was stoned, and decided to go for a walk. It was written so it was difficult to tell if he was talking to himself, someone else, or the drugs! He was walking and talking about the cars on the street and how they were looking at him and they were going to get him. He ended up in a park, and he was in a hole talking about how the dirt was raining on him. I'm assuming he was being buried alive in the park, that's how the short story ended. I can't tell you anything about the book! lol Thanks for any help!
