It's the staircase leading into the fictitious rock 'n roll hall of fame in the movie "Tenacious D in: The Pick of Destiny". Jack Black and Kyle Gass originally wanted to the staircase to be named "Stairway to Heaven", but Led Zeppelin pulled the plug when they discovered that their agreement to the use of their song title allowed the moviemakers carte blanche to the use of their name, images, and music in the movie. They renamed the entrance "Guitarway to Heaven".
