  • Have you thought about writing a letter to all of the companies sending you catalogs, asking to be taken off their mailing list? I'm not sure how well it would work, but it's just an idea...
  • Return to sender ... C.O.D.
  • there's a websiteyou can go to where you can pay to be put on a "do not mail" list... yeah you have to pay... i think it's only like five bucks... I can't remember the site but i seem to remember some celebrity plugging it. I thought it was Leo Dicaprio but the links I found on his site arent working... I know, I know, none of this is helpful without the the actual site but its out there... somewhere... i promise
  • Here in Montreal, they passed a bylaw and offered mailbox stickers that have the red circle with diagonal line through it with a picture of a folded flyer ... if a mailbox has such a sticker then only mail that is directly addressed to that address is allowed, there are fines for those who try to stuff ads, menus, or catalogs into marked mailboxes. If the catalogs are just being mass distributed to all mailboxes, and if they are not actually addressed to you, then just drop them as they are into a postal mailbox and give them back to the post office and let them handle it. If the companies sending the catalogs have a website, log on, look for a "contact us" link and send an email complaint ... if they get enough, they will stop sending them.
  • I think this is a good thing for a nationwide campaign! Talk about environmental disasters -- ok, lets spend billions of dollars and (probably) millions of trees each year to print and distribute advertising that people don't want! I'm putting you in charge of the effort, btw.
  • They usually have a Freepost envelope inside to send your order in. Tape it to a housebrick and drop it in the post.
