Question

Help answer this question below.

I am the only one I know of who cannot wink one eye without totally contorting the rest of my face to get the eye to close. Is there anyone of you who does NOT know how to wink?

I doubt it unless someone recently had Botox or a face lift or something like that.

    2) "Winking doesn't come naturally to everyone. Some of us need to practice to be able to do it, or at least to do it without looking like we're having a spasm of some kind. If you don't know how to wink, or you can not seem to get the hang of winking, the following steps may help you.

Step1: Look at yourself in the mirror with both eyes open to practice.
Step2: Close one eye quickly. If you can't do one side, try the other. Do which ever side feels more comfortable.
Step3: Practice getting one eye as close to closing as possible if you can't get it shut all the way. Don't get frustrated if you can't get it there; it may just take you a while.
Step4: Close one eye and hold it with your hand if you still can't wink. Practice this until you can keep your eye closed even after you've released it from your hand.
Step5: Try winking the other eye once you get one eye down. With enough practice you'll be able to wink one eye at a time quickly one after the other.
Step6: Make sure, by checking yourself out in the mirror, that you aren't squinting or making a weird face when you wink. Practice winking until you look normal and natural doing it.
Step7: Try out your new wink on a friend. You'll be able to see by the expression on his face whether you've done it correctly, or if you still need more work. "

This Daley has a new bundle of joy

I can't wink without scrunching my whole cheek. And if I don't want the other eye to move at all, I have to sort of concentrate on opening it wider at the same time.

I have an employee who can wink with a short flutter of the lid and the rest of her face stays the same - it boggles my mind!

Me and my sister cannot wink either. However we recently found out that our second cousin and my bestfriends mum also cannot wink therefore we are not the only people in the whole world who cannot close one eye and open the other at the same time!!
