That's excellent but it looks like a Bishop perhaps, not a Brother or Priest. A relative was a Palatine and I seem to recall the very old photographs being very much like the post John Paul era as seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Clerical_clothing.jpg I know very little about them. I don't know how many there remain even, but not many.

Thank you, same pic I posted though. Are you a devout Catholic i.e. are you familiar with the traditional dress of the Western sects (Cathar, Bogomil, Franciscan, Benedictine, Carmelite, Dominican, Josephine, Augustine, Jesuit, etc. etc. etc.) ? No offense intended but can tell quite a few apart and probably the first pic was correct.. I can't find the official color and dressing - it could well be Gold + Purple on White.. Since John Paul XII I think most clerics wear the Nehru button-up front with the full tunic unless it's really hot.
