Ladies: When buying your make-up foundation/powder do you prefer to go a shade darker or lighter if you can't find a match... why?

darker, because I'm already at the lightest shade most make-up brands make! my friends call me Casper. :P

Darker because going lighter just makes you look pale.

I very rarely wear make up but when I have bought it in the past if I cant find my shade I go someplace else because when the shade is darker I look like Im wearing a mask and if its lighter I look ghostly.

A shade darker. My natural shade (without a tan) is so white, it's practically transparent. If I went a shade lighter, I'd be the same color as the background of AB, lol.

I usually go a shade lighter and don't apply as heavily. I go a shade lighter because i don't apply the foundation on my neck and it prob leave a really noticealble line

I wouldnt bother buying it if I couldnt find exactly what i wanted, it would just be a waste of money. Always stick with waht you know, I say.

Lighter. You will just look orange and stupid if it's dark in contrast to the rest of you!
