In light of our member Blank Savage's passing, would you be agreeable to let us know if you plan to be away or off Answerbag for more than a few days, so we won't worry? Or is that being too intrusive?

I have no problem doing this but I do think it is a bit overboard. Yes it is very sad about Blank Savage, but no one on here knows me for real and if I were to die tomorrow I would be forgotten in about a week.

I told my sister months ago that if something happened to me to come here and thank everyone who had been so kind to me with words and hugs.

You're so sweeet to worry, Frank. I'm a dingbat and will forget to notify you so what I will do is tell my kids to log on and let you guys know it something happens to me. Then the question will get rejected as nonsense and my son will curse you all out. :P

Well I was just gone for about a week, and nobody missed me...but I certainly understand with the unfortunate events that occurred during my absence. But sure, I'll do it from now on!

I will be sure to let everyone know if I'm going to disappear for a little while. I'm also going to let some friends know that if anything should happen to me that they should at least e-mail someone who uses this site so all of my friends here will find out.

In regards to me, if I feel like taking an AB break or am going on vacation you all would know. If I just disappear off the face of the earth you all would know why. Plus u can have Mr. Bacon BLT try and contact me and if I don't respond that's another verification.

My AB friends that I speak to away from the site are always kept as up-to-date as possible with what is going on in my life at any given time. Stableboy has become somewhat of the "go to" person when it comes to finding out information about me - I don't doubt that he would fill everyone in if I suddenly up and left AB ;) In the event that I died, I know that either my sister (who also uses the site) or someone else from my family would be in touch with my online friends. Aside from that, I don't think anyone is going to be too panicked if I don't log in for a week ;)

No, that's a great idea. When I was on yahoo someone just disappeared & to this day I wonder what happened to him because he was sick. Kedar & Pete are like family, if anything happens to me, my daughter would call them right away
