I changed all four tires on my Grand Am to size P205/55-R16, but now when I turn or hit a bump it seems like the car is bottoming out. Is it the tires?

Yes. also, the different size tire change will alter the correct miles per hour, shown on your speedometer. your automobile was designed with a specific tire size. altering that size will also alter the ride as well as stressing the suspension underneath your automobile. this could be dangerous. -
