Having ruled out getting someone to pay you for something (a job) or for nothing (a loan, or gift) the only remaining option is some sort of business of your own. Obviously, the best thing is to uses some sort of skills of your own, or to see some sort of local opportunity. But not knowing your skills and/or opportunities, I cannot say much on this, Some people are making a moderate income from ebay trading. Simply going to boot fairs and/or jumble sales, spotting good value things, and putting them up on ebay. My wife bought something from a man who had given up his job to do this with his wife, and after six months was doing well. His wife spotted things that the owner didn't realize the value of (a doll in this case), and he did the ebaying. It wasn't an "Antiques Roadshow" sort of thing - they were only making five or ten pounds per item. But with tens of items per week, they were making a better living than in his previous job. It needs a good eye, and computer skills.
