It depends on the meaning you are trying to convey. Content (besides the other thing that varies) also may vary. Or. Content may also vary (along with other things content has been doing).

It depends on what you want to emphasise. You should have a context for the sentence. The second is better as also usually follows a verb, but the first is permissable.

Why not "Also, content may vary"? Depending on the thrust of the statement, that could work, right?
