  • Get along! I want to live!
  • Fuck getting along. There are going to be times when people disagree. That's part of existence. I'm all for Peace, but some people are assholes and that's the bottom line.
  • I wish we did all get along, but life is not a fairy tale. Like Ender said, people are going to disagree. That's as certain as the sunrise. Conflict is a natural, even necessary, part of life. That's no reason to stop living. You try your best to make the world a better place and hope to hell you do some good now and then.
  • It would be much better for us all to get along since i certainly do not want to die. It is not that the world has suddenly gone wrong. The world has never been free of wars in recorded history. Hatred of anything different or new ideas seems to be something that has been and always will be a part of the natural order.
  • Kill 'em all off and give the cockroaches a chance....
  • I agree with both actually get along or die.
  • The world has NOT "just gone so wrong". That's a personal view, which is very much correlated with how you see yourself. It doesn't look that way at all to me. There is no "way the world is": what we perceive as "the world" is a mirror of ourselves -- or more specifically, it's the COMPLEMENT of how we conceive ourselves. It's like a cookie and the dough it was cut out of: you take a formless sheet of cookie dough, and press the cutter into it, and then you lift out the cookie. You say "this cookie is ME", and then you look at what's left over, and you say "and THAT is the rest of the world". But what gets missed in this process (we all do it), is the shape of the cookie-cutter -- that shape is actually quite arbitrary! Where is the boundary between "me" and "the world"? Really, the closer one examines the question, the more baffling it becomes. People have turned their lives upside down trying to solve that question -- it's a classic philosophical question: "who am I?". So I challenge you to stop making vast generalizations about the world, and go stand in front of the mirror for a while. Nevermind how "the world" is, how are YOU? That's the question we all have to answer for.
