  • It's just alright. Just buy her the normal size racket when she grows older.
  • There are several sizes of junior rackets, and the 2 main factors too consider are her height and how strong she is. Buying a 3/4 size racket is a good compromise. Ideally you want one that also has a 3/4 sized racket head as sometimes you get them with a shorter shaft but full size head. This can make them awkward to handle and better skill will be developed with a proportionately sized racket. Once she gets to 5ft+ tall or if she gets strong for her age then start to consider moving to a full sized racket, typically this can be around 11 years old but that is just a general guide. Every child is different and the best thing to do if possible is have a quick chat with a coach with your daugther there so the coach can make a judgement as to best type of racket for her at this time. • Just buy the most expensive Yonex you can afford. +3
  • Hmm.. Sounds similar to a kid starting out with a guitar and the parents wondering if they should get a smaller sized one or not. I would say to get her a full-size racquet. That way, she will be used to the size from the get-go and won't have to adjust to switching sizes in future, which could be disconcerting.
